Housing with care

You deserve a home created with your quality of life and the environment in mind.

Housing with care

We care about you and the environment

At Juli Living, we want to create and operate homes with care for both you and the environment. Our properties are designed with a focus on energy efficiency, healthy indoor climate and safety. At the same time, we emphasize creating a framework for an easy everyday life with quality of life and community. On this page, we highlight some of the initiatives and solutions we are working on at our properties that can contribute to a better everyday life and reduce the impact on the environment.
DGNB: Live in a building created with care

All our properties built in or after 2021 must be certified at a high level according to the DGNB standards. This is a goal we have set ourselves to ensure quality and responsibility in construction. In concrete terms, this means that the properties must achieve DGNB Gold certification as a minimum.

DGNB certification provides a number of benefits for you as a resident. These include a healthy indoor climate, good communal facilities, lower resource consumption and an environment that supports community and well-being.

Power from renewable energy sources

Power from renewable energy sources is an important part of the green transition, which is why we are committed to choosing solutions that reduce the climate impact. We have partnered with Verdo, which means that all common areas in our properties will be supplied with electricity covered by guarantees of origin from renewable sources.

In properties where possible, residents are automatically enrolled in a Verdo power scheme where their private consumption is supported by power from renewable energy sources, also known as green power: electricity produced from solar, wind, hydropower or biomass, which contributes to less greenhouse gas emissions and pollution compared to conventional power from fossil fuels.

Are you a resident and want green power?

Do you already live in a Juli Living property and want a green contract for your private consumption? We guide you on how you can easily switch to one of Verdo's green contracts.

1: Go to verdo. com and choose the electricity contract that matches your needs. You can choose between two: One with a variable hourly rate, which is good for those who want to take advantage of the cheap hours, and one with a fixed quarterly rate.

2: Once you've ordered the electricity contract you want, just sit back and relax. Verdo takes care of all the practicalities.

DGNB - creating buildings with care

We have set ourselves the goal that all our properties built from 2021 will be certified to at least gold in the DGNB sustainability scheme.

When it comes to renovations of older properties, we strive for, as a minimum, a silver certification. That all sounds great, but what does it mean for you as a resident? Quite a lot. It affects your health and well-being, the communal facilities where you can meet your neighbors, CO2 emissions and much more.

We'd love to help you learn more about all this.

Reducing the carbon footprint of buildings

The climate footprint of real estate is too big to ignore. Collectively, buildings account for a staggering 37% of global greenhouse gas emissions.

The industry urgently needs to find better ways to construct and operate buildings, and as part of Nrep, we are helping to lead and accelerate the transformation towards a carbon-neutral industry.

Our milestones

By the end of 2023

  • Reduce embodied CO2 by up to 30% compared to 2020 on own new builds
  • Reduction of min. 50% of operational CO2 emissions compared to 2020 levels
  • All new builds are certified to a high level of sustainability
  • 100% CO2 documentation for the property portfolio

By the end of 2025

  • Construction of three innovation properties where new decarbonization solutions are tested to reduce CO2 emissions as much as possible. We continue to look for solutions to reduce both operational and embodied CO2.
Green power on all properties

Green power is important for the green transition.

That's why we have partnered with Verdo, which means that we now have green power at all common areas in our properties.

With this agreement, we are supporting and increasing the production of renewable energy and helping to reduce the overall environmental impact.

All new residents are automatically signed up for a green electricity agreement that covers private consumption. We also encourage all existing residents to choose a green contract for private consumption.

Charging stations for electric cars

Electric cars are an important part of the green transition and more and more people are choosing the greener alternative when buying a new car. Maybe you are one of them.

When you live in one of our properties where you can rent a parking space, it should be easy easy for you to access power for yourfor your electric car. That's why we've made an agreement with Clever to set up additionaladditional charging stations at a large number of our our properties.

Energy
communities

There is a lot to be gained by working with energy communities, which means that a property has shared solar panels and collective electricity supply.

UN17 Village in Ørestad is a good example of this. UN17 Village contains 5 properties, all equipped with solar panels that produce electricity for the homes in Denmark's largest energy community, and residents can monitor the production of green electricity themselves. This is done via an app that provides an easy overview of when the energy is greenest and cheapest.

The solution ensures that locally produced electricity is used locally as much as possible, and experience from other buildings shows that this type of initiative can cut a third of residents' electricity bills.
