"This is just home for me"

Christine Støvring, 49, lives in Kronen with her two children Adam and Sarah and cat Tommy, and they have lived here since August 2023. Throughout her life, Christine has lived in many different places, and she found herself in a situation where she was looking for peace, proximity to nature and not least a community with other residents. She was looking for a home for her family where they could stay for a long time.

She feels they have all this and more at Kronen, located in UN17 Village in Ørestad.

"I want to stay here"

Christine settles into her soft chair and looks out the window towards nature, where the afternoon sun makes the trees glow in golden hues. She looks back and says:

"This is just home for me and I love it. Already after a week, I just felt at home here." She pauses for a moment and continues:

"It's a relatively small apartment, but it's really well decorated. It's cozy, warm and bright - and I have a direct view of the wild nature," she smiles.

Christine currently works as a coordinator in a large international company and has lived in many different places throughout her life. She was born and raised in Østerbro. She then spent a few years living in the USA and New Zealand. She has also lived in the Northwest neighborhood, on Amager and had a house in Dragør. Now she and her family have found a home that offers everything they dream of, and the plan is to stay here.

Residents want community here

The entire UN17 Village is built on the values of quality of life, environment and community. And this is visible wherever you are in the village. Good community facilities have been built, such as roof terraces, a community hall and courtyards with facilities for all ages. In addition, Juli Living, which manages the rental, facilitates community events for the residents. All this because we know how much community means for people's quality of life.

"I like the fact that there is a community here that I can cultivate to the extent that I want to. And my experience is that the residents here really want community. We greet each other nicely and ask how each other is doing, and in a way it's quite natural for us, because we know it's part of Kronens concept," she says.

Christine also says that she enjoys the community events and hopes that there will be even more in the future.

"I have participated in a number of communal dinners, Christmas events and joint exercise walks. I enjoy it because I get to know my neighbors," she smiles and continues:

"I hope there will be even more community, and also other types of community. For example, I would like to join a book club - and who knows, maybe I'll even do meditation sessions for my neighbors," she laughs.

The best of both worlds

Without hesitation, Christine says that the best thing about living in Kronen is the proximity to the tranquil nature and the vibrant city life of Copenhagen.

"I don't feel like I'm compromising on anything here. I have the wildest nature right outside my front door, where my children and I love to go for walks and find peace. At the same time, I have Copenhagen a short metro ride away. And I'm a city girl, so I love that I can get there so easily," she smiles.

"I feel like I've got it all here in my beautiful apartment," she concludes.
