I have no heat in my radiators – what is wrong?

Last updated on March 5, 2026

If your radiators are not heating up, it may be because you are currently outside the heating season. Heating is typically turned off between May 1 and September 30, but the period may vary slightly from property to property.

If you are in the heating season (approximately October 1 to April 30) and your radiators are still not heating up, this may be due to the following:

  • Air in the radiator
  • A stuck thermostat
  • The thermostat is set too low

Check first:

  • Is the thermostat set high enough?
  • Are the radiators free of furniture and curtains?

If the radiator still does not heat up, it may need to be vented or the thermostat checked for blockages. If this is the case, please contact the maintenance department via the Dalux app (if your property does not have Dalux, you will find the contact information on your property's resident page).
